Is bisexuality something that is taught, or it is something that is natural in a person's genetics such as being gay or straight?

Explanation:

We have known for decades that sexual orientation is partly heritable in men, thanks to studies of families in which some people are straight and some people are gay. In 1993, genetic variations in a region on the X chromosome in men were linked to whether they were heterosexual or homosexual, and in 1995, a region on chromosome 8 was identified. Both findings were confirmed in a study of gay and straight brothers in 2014. However, these studies didn’t home in on any specific genes on this chromosome.

What causes people to be different is a big mystery. We do know that biology plays a big role! Most scientists agree that orientation is not something that people choose, rather, is something that is inherent in a person.

We know genetics plays a major role in who people are attracted to. If a person is not straight, they are very likely to have relatives that aren’t straight either.

orientation, or how attractions work, exists on a spectrum. The current understanding is that is caused by similar mechanisms as being or just as there are thought to be biological mechanisms that cause people to be straight.
