is boiling a warming process or a cooling process ? why ?

its a cooling process because water has a high specific heat and it absorbs a lot of heat energy to get boiled .  so it takes in a lot of heat energy from its surrounds along with the heat t that is being supplied to it so there would b a decrease in the surrounding temp.
