it is redox reaction here initially oxidation state of carbon and oxygen is 0. but on burning as c is more electropositive than o it takes +4 oxidation state. and hence o takes-2 oxidation state oxygen is reduced and carbon is oxidised

praneethks: please mark this as a brainliest answer please i request you
atikgoel: its not available currently.i think 2 answers are needed
praneethks: oh my god thats truely tereible
atikgoel: hmm
atikgoel: what happens if i mark it brainliest?

Yeah it is a redox reaction, because in this, O2 gets reduces and C is oxidised.

I hope it will help you
