Answer :

The Merck Incle isls it as being practically insoluble in water or acetic acid. Only dilute solutions of strong acids such as hydrochloric or nitric will effect it's solution(2). Calcuim Oxalate may occur as either the mono - , di - , or trihydrate .......it is also least soluble , having a solubility product of 2 .

No, calcium oxalate is not soluble in acetic acid. This is because , calcium oxalate when react with aqueous solution or acetic acid gives off white precipitate that insoluble in nature. Basically calcium oxalate is soluble only in strong acids since acetic acid is weak acid it is insoluble.

The reaction is given below,

Ca2+ 2CI- +2H + + C2O42->>CaC2O4 + 2H+ + 2 CI-
