Carbon is a non-metal and  is flammable.generally, pure carbon forms aren't explosive, but it can be explosive if a fine dispersion of it in air is ignited.Carbon is not in any way poisonous (atleast,it's having extremely low toxicity to humans)

CARBON IS A NON-METAL . THE ATOMIC NUMBER IS 6.CARBON IS VERY LOW TOXICITY. ELEMENT CARBON IS EXISTS IN TWO WELL -DEFINED Allotropic CRYSTALLINE :- DIAMOND AND GRAPHITE  .IT FORMS THREE GASES WITH OXYGEN CARBON MONOXIDE [CO],CARBON DIOXIDE [C0₂] ,CARBON SUBOXIDE [C₃0₂] .CARBON DIOXIDE IS NOT GOOD FOR HEALTH.IT IS FLAMMABLE BECAUSE COAL IS PRIMARY MADE FROM CARBON.
