nope this is not a combination reaction...

in a combination reaction two or more elements or compounds combine to form a single compound.

Given

CH₄ + O₂ ==> CO₂ + H₂O

(It is not a combination reaction)

Reason

Any allotropic form of Carbon burns with Oxygen to give out Carbon dioxide along with heat and light energy

The correct chemical equation should be

CH₄ + O₂ ==> CO₂ + H₂O + Heat and light energy

More examples of combination reaction

C + O₂ ==> CO₂ + heat and light energy

CH₃CH₂OH + O₂ ==> CO₂ + H₂O + heat and light energy
