Hi,
Chromosome and chromatin are different. Chromatin is the condensed (~10,000 times) form of chromosome. In simpler terms, if we consider a long thread kept along with a few small beads- its chromatin, but when the same thread is properly coiled and rolled to make a small thread ball sort of thing around the small beads- its chromosome. The thread is DNA, the small beads are histones.
If further detailed difference is needed, please let me know.
