Is commission received an operating or a non- operation income? Give reason.

It depends on the business you perform.


If you are an agent, or consignee of goods , then, commission received will be operating income.


If you carry on any business other the above ones, then commission received will be Non operating income, and shall be shown in Profit and Loss Account.
