Answer:

hy ur answer is here

Rusting is the chemical process of forming a red-orange coating on the surface of iron or steel. It is an oxidation. The main difference between corrosion and rusting is that corrosion can happen due to chemicals whereas rusting does not happen due to chemicals although it can be accelerated by some chemicals.

Noo corrosion means the formation of a layer on metals, wood and even very rarely glass ....

Whereas rusting is only applicable to any iron or steel types of objects.... is generally the formation of a reddish brown coating around any iron or steel objects...

Hope it helps....

Thus we can make out that both are different and the difference is that can occur to any type of metals, any type of woods or even very rarely gases....And rusting only occurs to iron and steel objects and not to any kind of woody or metal substances.......

Hoping u understood ......
