Yes. Della is warm hearted. This is evident from the way she reacted on seeing that Jim had sold his gold watch for which she had bought a platinum fob chain. Even though she realized that her gift would be of no use as Jim had sold his watch she doesn't become angry. She didn't even mind to sell her hair, her biggest asset for her beloved Jim. Hence it is needless to say that Della is a warm hearted caring young lady.
