Is diffusion take place in solid??? If yes give example??

yup of course diffusion do take place in solid also but o...oooo......diffusion in solid is so slow process that you will not be able to see as in comparison to liquid and gases.......eg:: If you write on blackboard with a chalk and don't wipe it for 10-20 days ...then if u try after 20 days to wipe it....u will face difficulty...what this means....it means that particles of chalk are diffused to the particle of blackboard.

This is due to the random movement of particles. Diffusion in solids: Diffusion does not happen in solids because the particles are not free to move around and so they cannot inter-mix.
