no, Earthing is a matter of concern only when metals(precisely conducting surfaces) are involved..whenever there is any leakage current, the appliance's surface also starts conducting which might harm you very badly so as to avoid such mishappenings we are strongly adviced to go for earthing, which eventually will carry all the current to the earth...
