yes,every diameter of a circle is a chord but every chord is not a diameter.

REASON
chord-line segment joining two points on the circle is called chord.
so this definition fulfils by a diameter so every diameter is a chord.

diameter-line segment passing through center is called diameter.
their are so many chords some are passing through center and some are not who those pass from center is called diamter.
