Focal length is distance whereas focus is a point.
The length from pole to focus is called focal length.
For example focal lenght can be 30cm of convex mirror or convex lens
Ex can be -30 cm in concave lena and mirror.
While focus can be obtained by placing object at infinity .
The bright spot where all rays converge or appear to converge after reflection or refraction is focus.
