Is friction the same for all surfaces. Does it depend on th smoooth ness of the surfaces?

No, friction depends on the type of surfaces. In smooth surfaces the friction will be less , while in rough surfaces it will be less.
If the irregularities is more friction is also more and if irregularities is less then the friction is more.So to reduce friction , we can increase irregularities.

No it is not .....Yes it depends on the smoothness of the surface.Is smoothness is more ,the friction is less and if surface is rough ,the friction would be more
