yes frictional force affected by weight . if weight is more frictional force increase if weight is less frictional force will decrease.

for example : the weight if geometry box and a bookshelves is different where bookshelves weight is more than box.

so geometry box is easy to push because friction force reduces and when we push bookshelves it is difficult to push because friction force increase.
