By late G2 phase the cell (diploid 2C) has already copied it's DNA because during S phase ( occurs before G2 ) the diploid cell doubles the total DNA by replication and hence the DNA is twice the total amount in diploid cell. Hence , if a haploid cell of same organism contains DNA equivalent to C , then the diploid cell in G2 phase will contain DNA equivalent to 4C.
