The Higgs field is a field, whose force is carried out by particles called Higgs bosons. Theoretically, the Higgs field is thought to be present everywhere. When ordinary matter paricles and antiparticles pass through the Higgs field and interact with the Higgs bosons and gain mass according to the kind of particle. The Higgs field theory also does not violate the "law of conservation of mass" as it only transfers mass to particles.
