My answer is no.but u have to believe that there is god.
No one knows how universe is created,there is only speculations and theories existing. Since the humans evolved and thier cranial capacity increased and he started to think the reason for he being in world.he could find nothing and his life would be in freeze without a reason to live.his mind a was empty.
Some smart people named this fact;the emptiness of the universe as god.he named the emptiness of mind which restrains from his karma as evil.
Thats all.to conclude i may add that u hav to belive in god to live a meaningful life otherwise u would be depressed by thinking all this theological question.
