Is gross sown area and net sown area are same????

no.

Net Sown area is the total area sown with crops in a country. Area sown more than once is counted once only. Gross sown area is the area sown more than once in an agricultural year plus net sown area.

Net sown are and gross sown area are different

Net sown areas :- Those areas which are sown more than twice or thrice in an agriculture year is called Net sown areas.

Gross sown area :- Those areas which are sown approximately once in an agriculture year is called Gross sown areas.

Gross Cropped areas :- Those areas which are sown more than once in an agriculture year plus net sown crop is called GROSS CROPPED AREA.

Ayush third is most important I have wrote it in additional because there is chance of coming this question.
