Is Hinduism better than Buddhism?

Religions per se should not be compared but since the question has been asked i will try to put my perspective.

Hinduism can be seen as a super-set of Buddhism , it is believed that Buddhism is part of the reform movement in Hinduism.

some of the common features are-

both believe in law of karma

both believe in rebirth

both preaches non violence and truthfulness (it was embraced by hinduism from buddhist philosophy )

both believe in liberation

however unlike Hinduism Buddhism DOES NOT believe in God. It just shows the ashtangic marg which leads to liberation.

Further, Buddhism believes in middle path and is against any sort of extreme view.

it is to be noted that advait vedanta (main school followed by hindus) is more or less similar to shunyavad of buddhism

Interestingly, Idol worship was first started in buddhism and it appeared later in hinduism.

Hence it is very difficult to segregate both the religions .both have similar values ,similar ethical norms, similar preaching and finally similar end to attain liberation.

All religions are equal . There should not be any discrimination on the basis of religion .
