weak bond

Molecules that have nonpolar covalentbonds donot form hydrogen bonds. Strenght. Hydrogen bonds are classified as weak bonds because they are easily and rapidly formed and broken under normal biological conditions.

While each hydrogen bond is extremely weak (compared to a covalent bond for example), the millions of H-bonds together represent an extremely strong force that keeps the two DNA strands together.

Greater electronegativity of the hydrogen bond acceptor will lead to an increase in hydrogen-bond strength. The hydrogen bond is one of the strongest intermolecular attractions, but weaker than a covalent or an ionic bond. Hydrogen bonds are responsible for holding together DNA, proteins, and other macromolecules.

yashvichaudhary: hydroden bond vary in 1 to 40 kcal /mol so they are weaker than vanderwaal and if tey are weaker than covalent bind
