Heya!!

Obviously yes! hypotenuse is always positive. irrespective it is unit circle or any fig.

Hypotenuse is always positive becoz it's calculated as square of base + square of altitude/height.

As, we already know square of any number is positive. and sum of squares is also positive. so, hypotenuse is also positive.

FOR A UNIT CIRCLE HAVING HYPOTENUSE h , ALTITUDE L AND BASE b WE HAVE.

HERE h = R where R is radius of circle.

R = 1 Becoz it is a unit circle.

h = ( + L² )

( + L² ) = 1

Anonymous: hypotenuse is totally independent upon quadrant.
