Hindu dharma is implicitly at odds with monotheistic intolerance. What is happening in India is a new historical awakening... Indian intellectuals, who want to be secure in their liberal beliefs, may not understand what is going on. But every other Indian knows precisely what is happening: deep down he knows that a larger response is emerging even if at times this response appears in his eyes to be threatening.
There is this TV channel in TN affiliated to most pseudo secularist party DMK.
In 2012 this is how the channel announced special programs during festives,
Sep 2012 - Vidumurai naal Sirapu nigazhchigal (Holiday Special Programs)
Dec 2012 - Christmas thinathi munnitu (Christmas special programs) Even their logo changes to show the festive mood.
Now Guess what was the occasion in Sep 2012 where they highlighted as 'Holiday Special' - You are correct its Hindu festival 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
Don't think you can have a better example for portraying pseudo secularism than this•
