Secularism in india means respect and tolerance towards all religions. You are allowed to do all the practices that are related to your religion in a secular state without any interference of other people or states. A secular country accepts and respects all religions and all religious views. No religious community can dominate over or persecute other religious community. The state is completely separate from religion.
Three factors that made India a secular state are:
• There is no official religion of India
• People can change their religion if they wish to
• All religions and it's views and accepted and valued
• Respect fo all religions
• Respect and accepting religious views
• All religions are equal
• The government doesn't have power over religion
• Tolerance over other religions
• Anyone can follow any religion
• There is no official religion of India
• All people, no matter of what their religion is, are eligible to vote
• All religious practices can be done
• People can wear their religious symbols
