YES,

India is called agricultural country since about 70% population is engaged in agriculture, farming and floriculture and its 120 crore population is striving 100 % on its agriculture output thus agriculture is the backbone of India, even milk production of India which has remained as largest producer in the world is also because of cow fodder for the milking cows, thus agriculture output contributes a lot on GDP.
