Well, there can be many reasons for the same. But the two common reasons that I can figure out is
1. The person was toxic to the group and was bringing in differences amongst the group.
2. The person, himself/herself, wanted to get secluded and didn’t feel like continuing a relationship.
In either of the case, dragging a person into a relationship is not the right move.
It is better to exclude them.
