Is it compulsory to take (a-d), (a+d), (a+3d), (a-3d) terms in 4consecutive terms of Ap...instead of taking a,a+d, a+2d, a+3d

when you will solve them....both will give the same answer

yes!!!
there are some specific rules for taking the terms.
so you have to take it like
(a-d)(a+d)(a+3d)(a-3d)
