yes it is correct to say that matter is continous in nature.
coz....The statement meant that matter takes continuous values. It is spread out in continuous manner. If we get a small element of mass in the body and then integrate it then we can get the whole mass of the body.

It can be said to be matter is continuous as we look in our sense. But by scientific manner a matter can be changed into energy. If there is highest temp. than a matter can converted into energy. Like in sun the temp. is more than 1 crore celsius. So any elements tranforms in energy. At that time it is proved that matter is discontinuous in nature.
