Is it effective to censor part of the media

In general - No. In any free society, there should not be “censorship” in media.

Censorship means there should be gatekeepers who control the flow of information. This situation is not healthy and should not be supported in my view.

Having said that, I do agree media should be not free from accountability. This is to ensure both adherence to process and quality of content.

In India often media try to play victim card while it has sufficient power.
