Is it good to have electoral competition? If yes, so then why?
and also tell me the demerits and merits of the electoral competition??

Yes , According to me , it's good to have electoral competition . But as we know everything has merits as well as demerits , electoral competition is also having the same .

Merits :-

▶ Electoral competition leads to a good amount of candidates , hence making it more equal with the fact :- Everyone of or above 25 has the right to grt elected as a political leader

▶ Electoral competition leads to opposition parties and the coalition parties to think of a better strategy in order to overtake the ruling party , hence leading to more responsible decisions .

Demerits :-

▶ Sometimes , electoral competition can lead to illegal works . Certain political parties are found doing illegal works just to cater the attention of the public .

▶ Electoral competition can also lead to lessened chances of a deserving candidate not being given a ticket only , as rich candidates would reserve tickets for themselves with their money .
