But there are some preventative measures as follows -

1) Before having any physical contact beware of partner's medical history.
2) Using barrier methods during intercourse , it is the safest method.

4) The infected partner can have some medications so that he/she can be less likely to be affected. But medications should be taken only after a doctor's recommendation.
