Hi there !
Here's the answer:

¶ The file extension helps an operating system, like Windows or Mac OSX , determine which program on your computer the file is associated with.

• The file will be of unknown extension, if there no extension has been included in the file name.

• When Running the file for the results, the file doesn't even appear in the list as only files with .html or .htm are displayed.

•°• The file extension is a must, after the file name, in order to get the result.
