No..it is not necessary for the existence of force between the two bodies when they are in contact with each other....
Actually forces are of two types...
Contact and Non contact forces...
Contact forces are those forces in which contact between the bodies is Must...For example Force of Friction...Friction is the force which act between the two surfaces which are in contact with each other...For example we can write with the help of friction...So in order to write anything...suppose on Notebook...There is a contact between Pen and a notebook..There are two surfaces here...one is for pen Nib...and other surface is for Notebook...There is a frictional force between these two surfaces act while writing...This force will only act where there is a contact between two bodies...
Similarly while walking the same force act between the surface of our shoes and ground...
There is also non contact forces...where there is no need to contact...
for example...Gravitional force is an example of non contact force...
If you take any object in your hand..say a ball...and drop from a certain height...ball starts falling towards earth...Here two bodies are Ball and Earth...though there is no contact between them..still ball fall towards the Earth...here Earth applies force on ball due to which ball fall towards earth...
Another example is so simple..you can understand this easily...and one more thing you should understand what a force can do..?
If a body experience a force it strats moving...or if it is in motion..it can stops...This is nothing just a effect of force...
You have observe many times that when you bring magnet nearby any other magnet or metal..it start attracting or repelling without contact the same...
Again here we do not bring these body in contact with each other..but at certain distance metal or another magnet experience force...Such forces are called Magnetic forces...
Gravitional and magnetic forces are magnetic forces...
There is another force called Electrostatic force...which is also Non contact force...hppe this help..
