is it necessary that the centre of mass of a body should always lie inside the body? justify your answer.

no ,In case if a round disk,which has a hole in it's centre the centre of gravity lies in the hole not in the body....

no it is not necessary. com can lie outside the body. e. g:-ring the centre of mass lies outside the body
