No. Not necessarily. Some say its not too good to do that but I totally disagree. My reason is very simple:

Smartphones and power banks (except fake power banks of course - that tend to have sand in them) typically come with batteries that are designed to perform optimally about 1.5 to 2 years tops. You may have noticed that smartphones require more frequent recharge after about a year or a bit longer. This is due to the life cycle of the batteries which is generally 500. Many factors affect performance but don’t worry about them. The important thing to know is that one cycle is used when you completely use up a battery from 100% full to zero. This can be at a stretch, twice at 50%, etc.
