yes, a atom can be divided into proton, neutron and electron. Here Dalton's atomic theory was proved wrong. Dalton said in his atomic theory that atom is the tiniest paricle of any matter but modern science has proved that an atom can be divided in proton, neutron and electron having positive, neutral and negetive charges respectively

Yeah it is possible only under Dalton atomic theory but modern theory states that it is no longer indevisible it can be divided into
1. Protons(positively charged)
2.Electrons(negatively charged)
3.Neutrons(Chargeless/uncharged)
