This explains why an object moving in a circle at constant speed can be saidto accelerate - the direction of thevelocity changes. ... Dizzy says that the ball is not accelerating because itsvelocity is not changing. Hector saysthat since the ball has changed its direction, there is an acceleration.

Acceleration to an object will either increase or decrease in the speed of the object. So, a body moving with acceleration cannot be in uniform speed.
