  • Electric Potential is zero at a particular point, it does not necessarily mean that the electric Field is also zero at that point.
  • It can be understood with the Case of Electric Dipole.

WHERE CAN THE ELECTRIC FIELD BE ZERO?

  • In general, the zero field point for opposite sign charges will be on the "outside" of the smaller magnitude charge.
  • The zero field point for like sign charges will be between the charges, closer to the smaller charge (and in the middle for equal charges)
