The cross product of two vectors is a vector whereas the dot product of two vectors is a scalar. So, never it is possible.

Hope it helps:)

mushahid36: in work the force and displacement both are vectors then why work is scalar??
assthha161: Work is the outcome of the force and displacement caused by the body. Force and displacement arevector quantities (they have bothmagnitude and direction) and the dot product of two vectorquantites always gives a scalarquantity. So work has only magnitude but not direction
