Is it possible that the train in which you are sitting appears to move while at rest?

=> Yes

The train in which we are sitting appears to move while it is at rest when another train in the track beside moves.

Then it appears that we are moving in opposite direction

Thank you for a wonderful question

Answer:

Yes!!

Explanation:

Just imagine that you are sitting in a train.

There is another train on the railway track by your left side. suppose you are looking at the train to to your left side by a window.

suppose that train starts to move.

While sitting in the train you will feel that the train in which you are sitting is moving in backward direction.

BÜT, the truth is that the train on your left side is moving in forward direction so we can say that motion is subject to reference.

HOPE IT HELPS
