Is it possible to change the path of A Giant Asteroid,if yes then How ?​

hey mate,

if you are asking for possibilities they are as follows,

  1. since on the asteroid no force is acting so by giving it sufficient amount of force it can be deviated like hitting by nuclear missile or anything else .. but it is practically not possible because we cannot launch a missile in space .. also if it is very great or big in size like moon so as to deviate we need a large force which is not possible..
  2. Next thing can be done that you bring or place a heavy planet or star like sun near it so that its can be deviated by its gravitational field... but it is also not possible practically..
  3. the last thing can be done is pray to your god.. may be he can help (may be practically possible never tried)

So as you can see that in all above methods they are only possible theoretically not practically so you cannot stop the incoming giant asteroid..

If at all there is some big gravitational force greater than the earth and nearer to the asteriod the asteriod may change it path ....
