Is it possible to construct a square in which the measure of one diagonal is given? Give reason for your answer.

Answer:

Yes

Because of the following reasons:-

  • Diagonals of square are equal
  • Diagonals of square bisect at 90°

Now suppose if one diagonal is given of length 7cm.

We can easily construct one diagonal of 7 cm.

And then another diagonal which will bisect the other at 3.5cm

After that we will get 4 points and we can join those points say(A,B,C,D)
