TO FIND :

7-digit number whose digits are in ascending order (from left to right) and gives the same answer when rounded off to the nearest thousand and ten thousand.

SOLUTION :

◆Since rounding off to both thousand and ten thousand should give same answer , the digit at thousand's place should be 0.

◆Since rounding off to thousands should be to the previous thousand , ( as 0 in thousands place should not change) the value in hundreds place should be less than 5 .

◆Values in 5,6,7 digit place , (from left ) can be any values in ascending order from left. Such as 987, 432,654, etc.

ANSWER :

The 7 digit number which gives the same answer when rounded off to the nearest thousand and ten thousand, given digits in ascending order is 9870400, 6540200,etc.
