let the breadth be 'n'

so, the length will be '2n'

area of rectangle=length×breadth

800m^2=2n×n

800=2n^2

800/2=n^2

400=n^2

√400=n

20 metre=n

so,the breadth is 20 metre

and length of the grove is 40 metre.

hence, yes it is possible to design this mango grove.

hope it helps....

Answer :

Let the breadth of mango grove be /.

Length of mango grove will be 2/

Area of mango grove = (2/) (/)

{l}^{2}  =  \frac{800}{2}  = 400

 {l}^{2}  - 400 = 0

Comparing this equation with a/² + b/ + c = 0

we obtain

a = 1b = 0, c = 400

Discriminate = b² - 4ac = (0)² - 4 × (1) × (-400) = 1600

Hence, b² - 4 ac >0

Therefore, the equation will have real roots. And hence, the desired rectangular mango grove can be designed.

/ = ≠ 20

However, length cannot be negative.

Therefore, breadth of mango grove = 20mLength of mango grove = 2 × 20 = 40m
