Yes if it's near to neutral  that's 7 we can eat that other which range within acidic or basic are not able to eat

PH is used to determine whether material is edible or not basing on what the body require at the moment.If the body is acidic it needs basic substance to neutralise it ,if the body fluid is basic it requires acidic materials to neutralise to normal.
