yes in graph the value of x and y is given when we take them we make the equation

vandanasinghal: ok
vandanasinghal: The slope-intercept form of a linear equation is

y = mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Theslope formulaism = change in ychange in x
vandanasinghal: First find the slope m. Pick two points on the line, such as (0, -9) and (3, -10). Plug those points into the slope formula.

m = change in ychange in x
m = -10 − -93 − 0Plug in (0, -9) and (3, -10)
m = -13Simplify

Theslopeis-13.

Now find the y-intercept. Since the line crosses the y-axis at -9, the y-intercept is -9.

Finally,usetheslopem = -13andthey-interceptb = -9towritetheequationinslope-interceptform.

y = mx + b
y = -13x + -9Pluginm = -13andb = -9
y = -13x − 9Rewrite as subtraction
