Given : two data sets A and B such that A has a greater median and mode, while B has a greater average and range

To Find : two data sets A and B

Solution:

A  =     3      6      7    7    7

Average      6  ,  median = mode = 7    Range =  4

B   =     1      1      1     12   20

average  = 7       Range  = 19     ,   Median = Mode = 1

Set A  had  a greater median and mode    7  in compare to  1

Set B has   greater average 7   in comparison to 6

and  greater range 19 in comparison to 4
