A monarchy is the system of government in which the deciding power resides with the kingdom, while democracy is when the system of government is run under a democratic system and the government is selected by the people.

The government in which the country is run by a democratic system however, the monarchs are in power as well. The decisions are made according to the constitution with the consent of the monarchs. This type of government is known as constitutional monarchy.

Examples of constitutional monarchy are the United Kingdom and Japan. Hence, it is possible to run a country under democracy as well as a monarchy.

Answer:

Yes.

A country can as well be democratic and be monarchy too like in Britain, and even in Canada.

Explanation:

A democracy is a type of government where voters make laws and elect their representatives. Shortly defined as legislative power.

Names given to the heads of executive, the bureaucracy which enforces these laws are not defined.

The nation can give then different names, for example, president, king and monarch, this would make no different. Democracy is practised as well as monarchy in one country.
