It is possible but for that you have to represent some genuine reason to cbse for your decision. Normally you have to do your +2 from same school and from the same board. But sometime exceptions are made. If you have a real genuine reason to change your board then go ahead and try. There is no assurance that you will be granted your wish but still give it a shot, who knows.

It's not possible to shift from state board to CBSE in 12th standard. Some of the registration procedure for 12th standard begins when the students are in 11th itself.. so the schools donot accept this shift.. Moreover the subjects offered in humanities differ from school to school .
